expressionist portrait 02 -painting by Elizabeth Doolittle
Expressionist portrait by Elizabeth Mikie Doolittle, we love these high vibe and colorful depictions. These pieces were purchased on loose canvas and stretched in the studio by us on the artists own stretcher bars completing works which began in the 60s. Gosh we love our jobs!
This collection of work was purchased directly from her estate here in Portland, OR. Doolittle was an incredibly prolific artist and student of the art. She was known to take many art classes and paint throughout the PNW as well as New Mexico. We have works from her dated and signed ranging from 1963-2007 however many of her loose paper pieces are neither signed nor dated, just left with a bit more mystery. We always love featuring female artists here in the EV studio and Doolittle’s work overall is bringing us so much joy…
