Welcome to the Community Rugs page, we are so excited to share this offering with you all…

The rugs listed on this page are all a part of the Experimental Vintage studio archive. Rugs I’ve collected over the years, many of which have lived with me in my home or studio at one time or another. They are all beautiful and unique! They are the perfectly imperfect, rustic, rare and often un-repaired (unlike the rugs I offer for sale). This community rugs page is meant not only to document these beauties- but to also offer them as tools for anyone looking for a rug for a photoshoot, staging, or event. It is our hope to share these rugs with other business owners, creatives, and any and all folks instead of just stashing them away in the studio…

Borrowing a Community Rug is free of charge. If you would like to tag us in your photos, mention us at your event, or otherwise help spread the word about Experimental Vintage~ we would be incredibly grateful!

If you would like to inquire about borrowing a community rug please email us at experimentalvintage@gmail.com with the subject line “community rug inquiry” include the rug # you are interested in, the date(s) you would like to borrow the rug, and the type of event the rug will be used for and we will get back to you with more details.

Please keep in mind that since many of these rugs are collectible and/or fragile, that high traffic events won’t work. For example: photoshoots, art installations, and low traffic design staging is great-but not at a happy hour event where there may be food and beverage spills on the rug. Or, using a Community Rug at a wedding as an altar rug or at the guest book signing table works~ but NOT on the dance floor or as a high traffic entry rug. We want to make sure the rugs are available for community use for years to come!

Lastly, due to the high cost of shipping and in order to lessen our environmental impact- you must be able to pick up and drop off the rug you borrow in person at the Experimental Vintage Studio- located in Portland, Oregon.

Thanks for understanding!
